It’s Valentine’s Day. The day of love, where flower shops sell out, people eat too much chocolate, and everything is all love-y outside.

I am newly single, and find myself working on Valentine’s Day – but it’s a labor of love. I’ve got an event coming up, and I’m so excited about it – that I’m a busy bee creating and inviting, and getting everything together – it’s quite a ride!

This morning, I was thinking about what to get you for Valentine’s Day, so that you remember how much I love you. If you’re in my community, then we have been drawn together – and are more alike than meets the eye.

Got your attention, didn’t I?

Good. Because I’m here today not to make you “comfortable”, but to help you awaken.

I believe that awakening starts with seeing the truth. Being conscious is about stepping out from behind the veil of lies that we not only say to ourselves, but each other on nearly a daily basis.

I must say, I’m an expert on lying to myself. I’ve also had a lifetime of experience of lying to others. Over the years, I’ve grown increasingly more honest with myself and others, but I still hold back.

Most of my friends have heard me say this at one time or another, “I say I’m 100% authentic, but the truth is…if you see me OUT OF JAIL you know I’m full of crap somewhere in my life. If I was 100% authentic – I would be locked up for sure!”

You’re probably asking yourself: “So, what do you mean by that – and what’s it got to do with me? Hmmmm?”

Here’s what I mean. I have this loud voice inside that wants to scream sometimes. Sometimes the insane systems and rules we have set up become too much for me to handle. I want to scream: “It doesn’t have to be this way! Things can be better! Wake up and see your power, please!” I actually want to say this in the middle of the grocery store sometimes. (Which is why I’d probably get locked up if I did that : ))

Then, it’s in the way I relate with others. I do this, everyone I know does this. Have you ever thought something you’re not saying? Have you said yes when you really wanted to say no – because you want to “people please?” Said no when you really wanted to say yes because you thought it won’t work or felt scared?

Have you felt awkward or hurt and decide to not speak your truth because you feel like someone’s going to yell at you if you do? Or felt jealous, sad, lonely, crazy, lost – you name it – and too ashamed to tell anyone? (This one is a big one with the people I’ve talked to that are REALLY successful!)

Do you tell lies to yourself? Things like “I’m not important”, “Who am I to do that?”, “I don’t have a big enough list so no one is interested in me”, “I have to wait for the whole universe to line up before I take a step”, or my favorite, “So and so does what I do – only BETTER.”

We ALL do it. I do it too. Everyone I know does it.

The only way to stop this is to make a commitment to truth. Real truth. Say it. Let the chips fall where they may. Free up the energy inside of you that is so busy repressing the truth.

Let’s stop fu*king LYING.

Times are changing, and we’re manifesting FAST. Trust in the universe that if you stand in your truth, you’re unstoppable. That you WILL be supported. That you don’t have to pretend that you don’t act like a bitch sometimes, or that you feel crazy or lost or whatever to have people approve of you. It’s time we dismantle that illusion for good.

In fact, the more you stand in your truth, the more you give others permission to stand in theirs. You become magnetic. Inspiring. Bold. A goddess “force-to-be-reckoned-with” light of beauty.

It’s your time. Today. Try it and see – we love you for who you are. Now. Really.

It’s safe to take off your mask and let the world see you.
